This game is not for the faint of heart. 7aa9394dea Title: Dark TowerGenre: Action, Adventure, Indie, RPGDeveloper:PrimeBit Games S.A.Publisher:PrimeBit Games S.A.Release Date: 14 Mar, 2017 Dark Tower Free Download [hack] There isn't much more that I can add to the other reviews for this game as they pretty much say it all. Not worth the money I spent. I\u2019m just glad I didn\u2019t pay a lot for it.. The trailer doesn't show you any real gameplay, so a lot of people might be wondering what this game is. Basically it is a tactical resource management RPG akin to "Tower of the Sorcerer", "DROD RPG", and "DungeonUp", the latter 2 of which can be found on Steam. As a huge fan of this genre of game, I have over 250 hours on DROD RPG, have completed Tower of the Sorcercer in it's many iterations on mobile, as well as DungeonUp. It's a great thinking-mans genre when executed well, unfortunately this game fails massively due to a few reasons I will try to explain for people not used tot hese typs of games. The games I mentioned above have a few things that are critical for a game of this type to be executed properly. For starters, the game does not reveal the stats of the monsters until you fight them, which in itself is bad because it makes it impossible to form a plan without face-tanking something first to see how bad it is. It is compounded by the fact that the game autosaves every move you make without the ability to undo a move, something the others games of this type allow. This means you have to make a decision blind that can ruin your run completely, basically forcing you to replay the game over and over to fill out the bestiary just to get information that should have been known from the start. To make matters worse, the level designs are terrible. After the first few floors, key management becomes pointless as many of the floors involve straight corridors with no routing options, creating hard walls that basically end your game unless you built your character almost flawlessly, again which is impossible without knowing the stats. This pretty much removes all planning and routing decisions and defeats the entire purpose of the game. The most outrageous aspect of this game is not the fact that it is a mobile game ported to the PC, but the fast that the PC version gives you a pop-up every 2-3 minutes asking you to LIKE the game on Facebook in exchange for in-game coins. This is a despicable design and horrible business practice for a Steam game, trying to push the pay-to-win aspects of the mobile game to the PC version to compensate for the fact the game is designed so poorly.. Really fun and challenging maze game.. Dark Tower is another puzzle game in the guise of an RPG, taking after the free indie game Tower of the Sorcerer, the Steam game DungeonUp, or the DSiWare game Crystal Adventure. This one may well be the worst of those, however, because many of the key fun elements of the genre are missing. The puzzle elements of the genre are fairly simplistic: Basically, fighting monsters is completely deterministic, and you can tell what the results of any fight will be before you get into it, in terms of how much damage you'll suffer, so you just need to figure out what order is the best for fighting things, what to put off fighting until you're stronger and can defeat it without taking damage, et cetera. However, unlike all the other entries into this genre, you can't actually tell what an enemy's stats are until you fight it, and you can't attempt to fight an enemy that you wouldn't defeat, so if you run into an enemy you can't beat, the game doesn't tell you whether your attack is too low or your defense is too low, you just need to spend points and pray, and reset the game if you can't do that or if you did it wrong. The game also autosaves after every step, so there is no way to save before fighting an unknown monster and see if the results are acceptable. In addition, Dark Tower is pretty much entirely lacking in puzzles OTHER than determining the best order in which to kill everything, with essentially no level puzzles or secrets. In conclusion: No, even if you like this genre it's not a good entry. Buy DungeonUp instead if the genre sounds interesting.. I made it my mission to look past the graphics and see the underlying positives. I went in with the best of intentions, to see the good in this and overlook the bad and be the 2nd positive review. Sadly I can't do this now because I actually TRIED the game and it is HORRID.Even though there are 10+ people in the game's credits this looks, feels, and plays like a project a student project.Boring as hell, makes no sense, no instructions, no tutorial, nothing.Trash. I refunded after 10 minutes. Should have refunded immediately.
